Memorial Bench Donation – Application

Thank you for your interest in donating a memorial bench to Draper City.

The donation will benefit residents and the community for many years and is much appreciated. We also hope that you as a donor find comfort in donating a memorial bench in a memory.

The memorial bench donation program is made possible through Resolution #22-10 as adopted by the Draper City Council.

Criteria for Bench Donation:

• Commemorate places or historical events of local significance
• Commemorate a community association and/or group that has contributed significantly to Draper City
• Commemorate a deceased person with a significant nexus to Draper City
• Selected bench location must be a value to the city and not cause any harm, disruption or safety concerns
• Donated benches installed on city property will be deemed as donated and become Draper City property
• If bench becomes broken or vandalized beyond repair or use, donated bench will be removed with no further obligation of Draper City to replace.
• All memorial bench styles and look are pre-selected by Draper City (6’ long, metal strap const., concrete base)
• All efforts to locate bench in donors desired location will be made, however not all locations are possible.
